What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work (technical cookies) and do not require your consent. Others are used to collect visit statistics and are only used if you accept them.
Technical cookies (always active)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| p2_consenso | progetto2.it | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner | 6 months |
| wp_consent_functional, wp_consent_statistics, wp_consent_statistics-anonymous, wp_consent_preferences, wp_consent_marketing | progetto2.it | Pass your choice on to the site’s tools, for example Google Analytics | 6 months |
| pll_language | progetto2.it | Remembers the site language (Italian or English) | 1 year |
The site may also use your browser’s local storage for technical interface functions. This information stays on your device and is not used to identify you.
Statistics cookies (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand in aggregate form how the site is used: which pages are visited, from which type of device and from which country. We do not use this data for advertising or to profile you.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes visitors under a pseudonym for statistics | 2 years | |
| _ga_6D8C6FP1ER | Keeps track of the visit for statistics | 2 years |
Until you give your consent, or if you refuse it, Google Analytics does not save any cookies in your browser. The site uses Google’s “consent mode”: without consent, Google may receive technical signals without cookies or persistent identifiers (for example, the fact that a page was viewed), which it uses only for aggregate estimates.
Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework recognised by the European Commission. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Third-party content
On the About page the Google Maps map is not loaded automatically: a placeholder is shown and the map only opens if you click “Show the map”. From that moment Google may set its own cookies, in accordance with its privacy policy.
The site does not use profiling cookies or advertising tools.
How to manage your choices
- On your first visit the banner asks whether you accept statistics cookies. “Accept” and “Reject” carry the same weight; closing the banner with the X counts as rejecting.
- You can change your mind at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.
- Your choice is valid for 6 months; after that the banner is shown again.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
